Welcome to my blog, buddy! It was created in 2019 to share my experience of studying abroad, living in another country as a foreign student, and exploring the place I’ve appeared to be in.
My name is Allison and once I decided to change my life completely. After graduation from high school, I decided to move out of the US to study at the University of British Columbia. Canada always fascinated me and the possibility of moving to this special country made me so excited that I couldn’t help but apply for the Film Production program. You can’t imagine how happy I was when I got that acceptance letter!
Of course, my experience of studying abroad was not always amusing and smooth. Sometimes I even cried in despair because I felt homesick and missed my high school friends who left in Oregon. As there are things I wish I knew when I first came to live on campus, I feel the need to share my experience with you.
Here you will get to know my way to Canada from the application process to the final years of college, the obstacles I faced and the opportunities that opened to me as an international student. If you would like to know what essays you need to write to apply for studying abroad, what problems you will face on campus and how to tackle them, read my blog. If you want to convince your mom that studying abroad is more beneficial than staying home, give her a link to my post about it. If you have some specific questions regarding any aspect of international student life, feel free to drop a line in the comments. I will be happy to give you an answer or advice.
The last, but not list to mention is that I’m open to your suggestions regarding the content in my blog. If you want me to reveal any topic in more than 30 words, feel free to propose it.
I wish you the best of luck in your study abroad experience!
